*Nymphoides cristata (Roxburgh) Kuntze. Crested Floating Heart, Water Snowflake. Phen: Jan-Mar. Hab: Ponds and lakes. Dist: Native of China and India. Apparently first naturalizing in North America in FL in 2000; introduced for water gardens and aquariums, and considered a noxious aquatic weed in our area.

Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia

Taxonomy Comments: A diploid species (2n=18) (Tippery et al. 2018).

Synonymy: = Fl7, K3, K4, WH3, Middleton et al (2018); = n/a – RAB
