*Nymphoides indica (Linnaeus) Kuntze. Common name: Water Snowflake. Habitat: Ponds. Distribution: Native of the Paleotropics.
Origin/Endemic status: Paleotropics
Taxonomy Comments: A diploid species (2n=18) (Tippery et al. 2018). See also N. humboldtiana, often included in N. indica, but of allopolyploid origin and native to the New World rather than the Old World (Tippery et al. 2018).
