not marked as a favorite taxon Nyssa ogeche W. Bartram ex Marshall. Common name: Ogeechee Lime, Ogeechee Tupelo, Ogeechee Plum. Phenology: Apr; Aug-Oct. Habitat: River swamps and wet forests with peaty soils, also in upland depression ponds. Distribution: Se. South Carolina south to c. peninsular Florida, west to s. Alabama.
