*Opuntia ficus-indica (Linnaeus) P. Miller. Common name: Tuna Cactus, Indian-fig, Mission Pricklypear. Habitat: Cultivated and rarely escaped. Distribution: Native of Mexico.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics

Synonymy : = Fl5, FNA4, K4, NcTx, Tx, Britton & Rose (1937); Cactus ficus-indica Linnaeus. Basionym: Cactus ficus-indica L. 1753
