Panicum diffusum Swartz. Section: Panicum. Common name: West Indian Panicgrass. Phenology: Apr-Nov. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: W. LA and TX ? south into Mexico; West Indies.

ID notes: Panicum diffusum is characterized by being graceful plants with conspicuously branched culms, linear-lanceolate blades, and inflorescences with spikelets adpressed on the branches and spikelets 2-2.9 mm long.
