Penstemon cobaea Nuttall var. purpureus Pennell. Common name: Ozark Cobaea Beardtongue. Phenology: Apr-Jun. Habitat: Limestone and dolomite glades, calcareous prairies. Distribution: Endemic to the Ozarks and AR-OK Coastal Plain.
