Origin/Endemic status: South America

Taxonomy Comments: As interpreted by Irwin & Barneby (1982), one of twenty varieties of a polymorphic S. pendula.

Synonymy ⓘ: = FNA11.1, K3, K4, SE3, WH3, Irwin & Barneby (1982), Isely (1998); = Cassia coluteoides Collad. – Isely (1975); >< Cassia bicapsularis L., misapplied
