Spigelia hedyotidea A.P. de Candolle. Common name: Prairie Pinkroot. Phenology: Mar-May. Habitat: Limestone outcrops and gravelly areas. Distribution: C. TX; Mexico (CHP, CHH, COA, SON, TAM,VER) to Central America.
