*Stachys arvensis (Linnaeus) Linnaeus. Common name: Staggerweed. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Disturbed areas, especially a historic waif on ballast. Distribution: Native of Mediterranean Europe and n. Africa. Reported for VA by C, G, and K4; no documentation is known and the record is rejected (Virginia Botanical Associates 2023).
