not marked as a favorite taxon Symphyotrichum praealtum (Poiret) Nesom var. angustior (Wiegand) Nesom. Common name: Willow Aster, Veiny Lined Aster. Habitat: Fen-like calcareous wetlands. Distribution: Maine south to North Carolina (?) and ne. Tennessee. Abrams Creek, Frederick County, Virginia. Also reported for North Carolina by Kartesz (1999, 2023).
