Trifolium

not marked as a favorite taxon *Trifolium hirtum Allioni. Common name: Rose Clover. Phenology: Apr-Jul. Habitat: Roadsides, fields, disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Eurasia and n. Africa, apparently escaped in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina, Tennessee, and nc. Texas (Kartesz 2022; Vincent & Gillett 2023; iNaturalist 2025). Collected "a number of times in 1922, maybe a temporary waif" near Farmville, Prince Edward County (Virginia Botanical Associates 2026).
