*Urtica dioica Linnaeus ssp. dioica . Common name: European Stinging Nettle, Great Nettle. Phenology: May-Jul; Jul-Sep. Habitat: Bottomlands, roadsides, other disturbed areas, primarily in calcareous soils. Distribution: Native of Eurasia.

Origin/Endemic status: Europe
