Zephyranthes smallii (Alexander) Traub. Small's Rain-Lily. Phen: Sep-Oct. Hab: Low areas. Dist: Endemic to s. TX (Cameron County), apparently not seen since the 1940s.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: "Correll & Johnston (1970) and Flagg, Smith, & Flory (2002b) postulated a hybrid origin for this species, with Zephyranthes pulchella and Zephyranthes chlorosolen (Cooperia drummondii) the putative parents" (Carr 2016).

Synonymy : = K4; = Cooperia smallii Alexander – K3, Tx; = Hippeastrum smallii (Alexander) Christenh. & Byng – Christenhusz, Fay, & Byng (2018)
