Lechea Linnaeus. Common name: Pinweed.

A genus of about 18 species, herbs, of North America, the West Indies, and Central America.
ID notes: Lechea is recognizable by its production of numerous basal shoots (usually prostrate) in the late summer and fall, often with whorled leaves. These are evergreen and overwinter, and the fertile stems (usually erect or ascending) are produced from renewed growth of the basal shoots in the spring and summer.
