Agarista
Agarista D. Don ex G. Don. Common name: Agarista.
A genus of about 30 species, shrubs, primarily of tropical America, but also in Africa, Madagascar, and se. North America. Judd (1979, 1984) discusses the reasons for separating Agarista from Leucothoe; Agarista is more closely related to Pieris than Leucothoe (Judd & Kron 1996).
