Pavonia Cavanilles. Subfamily: Malvoideae. Tribe: Hibisceae.
A genus of about 150 species, shrubs, of tropical and subtropical areas. Perhaps better included in a broadly circumscribed Hibiscus (Pfeil & Crisp 2005).
