Alkekengi

not marked as a favorite taxon *Alkekengi P. Miller. Common name: Chinese-lantern Plant.

A monotypic genus, a perennial herb, native of e. Asia. The retypification of Physalis has been accepted (Applequist 2012), allowing the separation of Alkekengi as a monotypic genus.
