*Senega longicaulis (Kunth) J.F.B. Pastore. Subgenus: Senega. Section: Trichospermae. Common name: Longstem Milkwort. Distribution: Native of tropical America. Reported for our region only from Jackson County, AL, in 1917.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics

Synonymy : = Pastore et al (2023); = Polygala longicaulis Kunth — FNA10, K4. Basionym: Polygala longicaulis Kunth 1823
