Senega rugelii (Shuttleworth ex Chapman) J.F.B. Pastore & J.R. Abbott. Subgenus: Senega. Section: Decurrentes. Common name: Yellow Milkwort. Phenology: (Jan-) Mar-Apr (-Dec). Habitat: Wet pine flatwoods, wet slash pine savannas, cutthroat seepages and savannas. Wet to dry sandy roadsides. Distribution: Extreme e. Panhandle FL and n. peninsular FL south to s. FL.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Synonymy : = Pastore et al (2023); = Pilostaxis rugelii (Shuttlew. ex Chapm.) Small — S; = Polygala rugelii Shuttlew. ex Chapm. — Fl3, FNA10, GW2, K4, S13, WH3, Smith & Ward (1976). Basionym: Polygala rugelii Shuttlew. ex Chapm. 1878
