Manfreda variegata (Jacobi) Rose. Common name: Mottled Tube-rose, Huaco, Amole. Phenology: Feb-Jun. Habitat: Rocky slopes and chaparral. Distribution: S. TX south into c. Mexico.
ID notes: When not in flower, this species can be recognized by its relatively leafy rosette of erect to recurved leaves with or without dark spots.
