not marked as a favorite taxon Anatherum arctatum (Chapman) Vorontsova & E.A. Kellogg. Common name: Florida Bluestem. Phenology: Sep-Nov. Habitat: Wet pinelands, pineland bogs, rarely moist disturbed ground. Distribution: N. Florida (including Clay County in ne Florida) west to w. Panhandle of Florida and adjacent s. Alabama, south to s. Florida. The curious record from Pamlico County, North Carolina (the specimen at GH, collected by Randolph and Randolph in 1922, annotated as A. arctatus by Campbell) is likely a waif.
