Dichanthelium strigosum (Muhlenberg ex Elliott) Freckmann var. strigosum. Common name: Rough-hairy Witchgrass. Phenology: May-Sep. Habitat: Moist soils of pine flatwoods, savanna, and pocosin, also in boggy situations. Distribution: Se. VA south to FL, west to TX, also in TN, e. Mexico, Mesoamerica, n. South America, and West Indies.
