Gaillardia pulchella Fougeroux de Bondaroy var. pulchella . Common name: Common Blanket-flower. Phenology: Apr-Sep. Habitat: Prairies, other open habitats, disturbed areas. Distribution: MO, NE, CO, and AZ south to w. LA, TX, and Mexico; also naturalized eastwards, the pre-settlement distribution obscure.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
