Phlox pilosa Linnaeus ssp. ozarkana (Wherry) Wherry. Common name: Ozark Phlox. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Glades, savannas, woodlands, disturbed areas. Distribution: MO and se. KS south through e. OK and AR to n. LA; disjunct east of the Mississippi River from c. TN south to c. GA and c. AL.
