Robinia hispida Linnaeus var. fertilis (Ashe) Clausen. Common name: Arnot Bristly Locust. Phenology: May-Jun; Jul-Aug. Habitat: Woodlands and forests. Distribution: Apparently endemic to the Southern Appalachians of w. NC and e. TN.
