Chasmanthium sessiliflorum (Poiret) Yates var. 1 . Common name: Coastal Hammock Longleaf Spikegrass. Phenology: Aug-Oct. Habitat: Calcareous hammocks. Distribution: E. SC south to n. FL.

ID notes: Characterized by divergent panicle branches and occurs in outer Coastal Plain calcareous sites (J. Allison, pers. comm.).
