Dichanthelium commutatum (J.A. Schultes) Gould ssp. ashei (T.G. Pearson ex Ashe) Freckmann & Lelong. Common name: Ashe's Witchgrass. Phenology: May-Oct. Habitat: Dry rocky or sandy woods and openings. Distribution: MA south to Panhandle FL and MS, west to MI, MO, and OK.
