Lechea pulchella Rafinesque var. moniliformis (E.P. Bicknell) Mohlenbrock. Common name: Bead Pinweed. Habitat: Dry sandy soils. Distribution: Coastal Plain from Nantucket Island, MA south to s. NJ, and disjunct along the Great Lakes (a common phytogeographic pattern, lending credence to the validity of the variety).
