Peperomia obtusifolia (Linnaeus) A. Dietrich var. obtusifolia. Common name: Florida Peperomia. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Terrestrial in tropical hammocks, usually on decaying bark of logs and stumps. Distribution: S. peninsular FL; West Indies; Mexico, Central America, and South America.

Taxonomy Comments: Var. alveolata (Trelease) Alain is endemic to Hispaniola. Var. floridana (Small) D.B. Ward is endemic to FL.
