Alismataceae Ventenat. Common name: Water-plantain Family.
A family of about 17 genera and 113 species, herbs, subcosmopolitan in distribution. Here circumscribed to include the Limnocharitaceae, which forms one of three clades (and not the first-branching) in a broadened Alismataceae (Li et al. 2022).
