*Bontia daphnoides Linnaeus. Common name: White Alling. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Coastal thickets. Distribution: Native of West Indies and n. South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics

Other Comments: The FTG specimen could not be located; this species otherwise seems to be only cultivated in Florida.
