Honckenya peploides (Linnaeus) Ehrhart ssp. robusta (Fernald) Hultén. Common name: Southern Seabeach-chickweed, Southern Sea-sandwort. Phenology: Jun-Jul. Habitat: Seabeaches and dunes. Distribution: The species is circumboreal, in North America ranging south to e. VA. Ssp. robusta ranges from NL (Newfoundland) south to e. VA; three other subspecies do not occur south of NL (Newfoundland).
