*Moenchia erecta (Linnaeus) G. Gaertner, B. Meyer, & Scherbius ssp. erecta . Common name: Upright Chickweed. Phenology: May. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Eurasia. This species was collected as a "wool alien" in Berkeley County, SC in 1958 (Rabeler 1991). Garland, Goldman, & Rabeler (2021) report multiple locations from Guilford County, NC.
