*Sorbaria sorbifolia (Linnaeus) A. Braun. Common name: False Spiraea. Phenology: Jun-Jul. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Asia. Cultivated and naturalized at least as far south as s. PA (Rhoads & Klein 1993; Rhoads & Block 2007), MD, and WV; reports for VA (Massey 1961, repeated in Kartesz 1999) are apparently based only on cultivated plants.
