Stems: Stems ribbed and sometimes winged, branched, smooth.
Leaves: Leaves alternate (a rosette of basal leaves may form first), mostly sessile with clasping lobes at the base, lance-shaped to narrowly oval, to 4 in. long, wavy-margined to blunt-toothed, smooth.
Inforescence:
Flowers: Flowers on stalks in terminal racemes, which elongate during blooming (flowers at top open first); white; less than 1/4 in. wide; consisting of 4 tiny spoon-shaped and round-tipped petals, 4 green sepals, 6 anthers and a green ovary.
Fruits: Fruit a green, round to oval, minutely winged pod.
