*Aeschynomene rudis Bentham. clade: Aeschynomene. Common name: Frisolillo. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Roadside ditches, rice fields, disturbed wetlands. Distribution: Native of South America, introduced in se. United States, recently becoming a weed.
Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics
Taxonomy Comments: A diploid, and one of the parents of A. virginica (Arrighi et al. 2013). A member of the American sect. Aeschynomene clade (Oliveira Silva Cardoso et al. 2019).
