*Alysicarpus rugosus (Willdenow) A.P. de Candolle. Common name: Red Moneywort. Phenology: Jul-Nov. Habitat: Disturbed areas, fields, grown experimentally for forage or as a nitrogen-fixing cover crop. Distribution: Native of tropical Asia and Africa.

Origin/Endemic status: Paleotropics

Synonymy : = FNA11.1, K4, NS, SE3; Hedysarum rugosum Willd. > Alysicarpus rugosus ssp. rugosus — POWO. Basionym: Hedysarum rugosum Willd. 1802
