Taxonomy Comments: Escapes in our area appear to be a reverted wild form, sometimes treated as A. graveolens var. graveolens. This species occurs in forms or cultivars, which have sometimes been treated as botanical varieties: A. graveolens var. dulce (P. Miller) A.P. de Candolle (Celery), A. graveolens var. rapaceum A.P. de Candolle (Celeriac), and others.
