Baccharis angustifolia Michaux. Common name: False-willow. Phenology: Sep-Oct. Habitat: Interdune swales, wet hammocks, marsh edges. Distribution: Ne. NC south to s. FL, west to LA; Bahamas.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Some plants with broader leaves and rare (or absent) teeth seem to represent hybrids with Baccharis halimifolia; these have been found along the Gulf Coast in s. AL and s. MS.
