not marked as a favorite taxon *Buxus sempervirens Linnaeus. Common name: Boxwood. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Persistent for decades at abandoned homesites, and spreading weakly from dumped hedge trimmings and other cuttings. Distribution: Native of Europe. Reported for AL Coastal Plain (Diamond 2013) and the Arkansas Coastal Plain (Serviss et al. 2020).
