Cardiospermum microcarpum Kunth. Common name: Heartseed. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Disturbed upland areas, rockland and other hammocks, pine flatwoods, disturbed upland areas. Distribution: N. FL peninsula (Marion County) south to s. FL; West Indies; Mexico through Central America to n. South America.
