Carex venusta Dewey. Common name: Dark Green Sedge. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Bay swamps, peat bog, mossy wetlands, and other wet habitats. Distribution: Se. VA south to Panhandle FL, on the Coastal Plain.
