Carya pallida (Ashe) Engler & Graebner. Section: Carya. Common name: Sand Hickory, Pale Hickory. Phenology: Apr-May; Oct. Habitat: Dry sandy or rocky forests and woodlands. Distribution: S. NJ south to Panhandle FL, west to TX, inland in the interior to w. NC, KY, s. IL, and AR.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
