Chrysopogon pauciflorus (Chapman) Bentham ex Vasey. Common name: Florida Goldbeard, Florida Rhaphis. Phenology: Mar-Nov. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, pine flatwoods, disturbed sandy areas. Distribution: FL and Cuba; its occurrences in se. NC (at Carolina Beach State Park), in Horry County, SC (see Bradley et al. [in prep.]), and se. TX (Jefferson County; Kartesz 2022), are plausible either as native, disjunct occurrences or as introductions.
