Coccoloba diversifolia Jacquin. Common name: Pigeon-plum, Tie-tongue. Phenology: Mar-Oct. Habitat: Maritime hammocks, rockland hammocks, coastal berms, shell mounds. Distribution: S. and c. peninsular FL; West Indies; Mexico (CHP, OAX, QOO, SLP, VER, YUC), Central America, and South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Natural but rare hybrids between Coccoloba diversfolia and Coccoloba uvifera occur in s. FL; the hybrid has been given a binomial name, Coccoloba ×hybrida Castañeda-Noa.

Synonymy : = Bah, Fl4, FNA5, K4, WH3, WI; = Coccolobis laurifolia Jacq. — S, S13. Basionym: Coccoloba diversifolia Jacq. 1760
