Cordia sebestena Linnaeus. Common name: Orange Geiger-tree. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Rockland hammocks, coastal berms, and also planted. Distribution: S. FL; West Indies; s. Mexico and Central America. This species is native in s. FL, as well as planted.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Synonymy : = Bah, Fl5, K4, Meso4.2, Mex, SFla, WH3, WI, Miller (1985); = Sebesten sebestena (L.) Britton ex Small — S. Basionym: Cordia sebestena L. 1753
