*Cyperus blepharoleptos Steudel. Common name: Cuban-bulrush. Phenology: Jun-Oct. Habitat: Ponds and marshes, especially in floating vegetation mats, ditches. Distribution: Tropical America; very likely accidentally introduced in the Southeastern US via shipping (first known occurrences in Mobile, AL in 1882 and New Orleans, LA in 1889).
