Habitat: Maritime hammocks, beach dunes, coastal strands, coastal grasslands, coastal berms, scrubby flatwoods, shell middens, mangroves. Distribution: Peninsular Florida; West Indies; Mexico (Tabasco, Veracruz), Central America, and South America; Paleotropics.
