Dichanthelium ravenelii (Lamson-Scribner & Merrill) Gould. Common name: Ravenel's Witchgrass. Phenology: May-Oct. Habitat: Dry sandy or rocky thin woods and openings, sometimes in moist soils. Distribution: NJ south to FL, west to e. TX, north to IA. Frye, McAvoy, & Thomas (2022) reported on its rediscovery and occurrence in MD.
