not marked as a favorite taxon Eleocharis equisetoides (Elliott) Torrey. Common name: Horsetail Spikerush. Phenology: Jun-Sep. Habitat: Quiet waters of limesink (doline) ponds, natural lakes, borrow pits, ditches, artificial millponds. Distribution: Massachusetts south to c. peninsular Florida, west to se. Texas, Arkansas, s. Missouri, and se. Oklahoma; also near the Great Lakes from New York west to Michigan, Missouri. Reported for Oklahoma (Buthod & Hoagland 2017).
